Okay have you recently lost an important gadget or was it stolen? Discmans, ipods, mobile phones??
Well.. if you have...welcome to the club!
Of all the things that gets lost, losing something that is so personal to you like for say your SONY Discman is definitely something that'll make you more than angry.
Heres the scene...a year ago, I'd bought this cool NOKIA phone which I proudly showed around to everyone. It was sleek and had all the right things you would want in a mobile phone. A few months after I bought it (it was like 5 months of something)...I LOST it. It fell out of my pocket and I wasn't even aware of it!! I hated myself for a week for that.
Scene two... Year 2006, I'd bought the sleekest and most beautiful SONY Discman just two months ago. It was a shimmering blue coloured slimmest MP3/ATRAC CD player they'd in the showcase. With internal equiliser and all...I literally took that CD player everywhere I went. I listened to it day and night. And guess what...it got STOLEN YESTERDAY!!
Yep..Am I angry?? Well..NO I am not, except that I wanna kick the shit outta the person who stole it, Kick him till death..bring him back to life...kick him till death again!!
When you buy things like that it isn't just a piece of equipment..its more than that, ain't it? It becomes personal to you. You are comfortable and happy around it. You miss it like you would miss a loved one. And dammit..once you lose it (which happened more than once in my case) you go through this few stages which I swear I would never want to go again::::
STAGE 1: SHOCK/DISBEILEF (you are panicked...you search for it everywhere..your pockets,bags..hell everywhere..you don't accept that its lost..you have HOPES that you'll find it lying somewhere)
STAGE 2: ANGER (You are distressed..you utter foul words using it like adjectives, verbs, nouns...You show anger..punch a few things..in some case even yell)
STAGE 3: GUILT (Eventually there are some or other things that you did that lead to you losing your stuff. So you feel guilty about certain things..like not being careful enough..)
STAGE 4: ACCEPTANCE (you finally accept you lost it. Try and move on. Tell everyone about what you lost. Show hopes to buy better models (I'm in for an iPod now!))
STAGE 5: CALMNESS (you are far more calm now in this stage. You accept what you've lost and take examples like that of bankruptcy and calm yourself by saying you haven't lost a house or something..and eventually buy a newer and better model)
I bet everyone around must've lost something or the other which they valued very much, or worse got it stolen. But from my experience I say when bad things happens they happen for a reason. That reason most of the times are for a GOOD CAUSE.
As for all the Kleptomaniacs...I CURSE 'em all. The moment you steal, theres a bolt of lightnin' waiting for you to tear you apart that very moment.
Have faith people! And keep an eye on that mobile set..who knows when it might just slip off your pocket or the discman...who knows somebody might just open your bag from behind and get away with it...without you ever having a clue about it!!
ALL THE THIEVES...go to HELL! (amen)
