Malena - One of those movies that U caN'T just forget.

by door15 @ 2006-07-31 - 05:47:03 pm

Well... sometimes you just pass by some of the movies which kinda sparks something inside you. Something that makes that movie last inside your head for a very long time. Yes, Malena had that.

The story of an adolescent boy who literally (and with him I, myself also) fall in love with one of the most beautiful women in movies: Malena (played by the heart-stoppingly beautiful Monica Bellucci). Monica's acting was so flawless that I am still hung-up on her beauty and during the movie I myself fell in love with her.
It was Malena, the italian girl who was always quiet and whom the whole damn society hated. And the only crime she'd done was this: She was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

People spread bad rumours about her, husbands and boys can't just keep their eyes off her and wives and mothers can't just stand her.

Deep down its a movie about WILL POWER. Its the movie about COURAGE. Its a movie about LOVE.

COURAGE of How Malena could walk with the same heart-stopping elegance even if she was disgraced. COURAGE of how a small boy couldn't stand his LOVE Malena being bad-mouthed. COURAGE of how a NEW LIFE can begin, always!

Though the movie's in Italian. The sub-titles are greatly scripted and written (hehe...shouldn't mention that...but I've seen movies where the sub-titles are telling a different story)

Monica Bellucci is, for the third time, one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL characters I have ever seen..SHE IS MALENA>that Malena who can stop the whole damn society by her curvaciously elegant walk, the silent enigmatic beauty that her face radiates, the humbleness and the attitude that only women can possess. Those women whom the society can kneel down to.
And this movie shows just how that elegance can beauty can BACKFIRE in case of some over-jealous society.

It shows how a BLESSING can turn to a CURSE.

But as I said its about COURAGE. Its about how Malena can still walk with the same enigmatic charm...and its all Malena's all about.

I FELL in LOVE with MONICA BELLUCCI. LAUGHED out loud. And even felt the anger towards the hypocritical society.

This MOVIE will remain in my heart for a LONG time. Malena will remain in my mind for a long time.

I RATE it 10 on 10. Monica Bellucci is STUNNING. The movie is erie in the most beautiful way. The perfect mixture of something totally out of the common flock of shitty stories, something with humor, anger, beauty, vengance, intelligence all attached to it in the perfectly interwind shades within the movie.

I LOVED IT!!
10/10.

crazy little thing called Love.

by door15 @ 2006-07-20 - 06:20:30 pm

well..when you like someone:
-Money you spend on 'em doesn't matter.
-Other people around that special someone just fades away as if your lense's outta focus.
-That someone's favorites suddenly becomes your favorites.
-You keep thinking of that someone even if you force yourself not to.
-You try in every million ways to impress that someone.
-A little fluctuation in that person's mood and it swings your moods as well.
-That person's simple smile's more worth it than all the compliments you got that week combined.
-You move to unimaginable steps to get what that person claims they like or would like to have.
-Suddenly every comment and every move that person makes is as important as the penalty-shootouts of the world cup finals.
-Every song you can relate to that person becomes "your song".
-However bad it may be but you try to make that person's "sketch".
-One smile from that person and your day's been awesome.
-Suddenly you start caring what that person thinks of certain things.
-You forget all other's birthdays but you get butterflies on your stomach a month before her birthday just by the thought of choosing an appropriate gift.
-You spend more time near a mirror before meeting that person than you ever did in the whole week combined.
-You don't care about what others think as long as that person is impressed.
-FASHION suddenly becomes something more than just hot-mexican girls in bikini.
-your old bike which you never seemed to complain about suddenly seems old(er).after you took that person for a ride.
-you blindly do things based upon "How-that-person-will-react-to-this" principle.

ah..its when you're fool in love.that you breathe, sleep, hear, see, smell and care about none but that special someone.

Anatomy of ANGER

by door15 @ 2006-07-19 - 03:42:08 pm

a totally different feeling is this ANGER. Anger changes you, anger makes you vulnerable and anger definitely crushes you.
There are times when you just get angry at nothing. I know there are expectations that when they aren't met lead to anger but sometimes you yourself can't explain your anger.Others haven't done anything wrong....but still you are MAD at 'em. You feel very vulnerable. Anger controls you...feeds on you...and brings a force inside you, which apparently you never really were aware of.
Anger's RED.Anger needs an outlet.
Why am I writing this?? Well I sure am hell pissed off at someone with no apparent reason why. She didn't do anything wrong she was just normal. But I am hell pissed.
Anger makes you want to scream. I take it out on music. Anger drives you in an "avenging" mode.
Anger completely feeds on all your mind...there's nothing else that you think about except of course that you are ANGRY.
You would surely want to do something. Prove and show that you are angry. Try to bang a door. Kick the shit out of a crumbled up can. Bad mouth and put an "F" word as a verb, adjective, adverb and god knows what.
Why is it that humans tend to show that they are angry. Why is it that do need an outlet. Hell am typing like a freaking stenographer to let out my anger here.
Is anger a mere medium that shows our need to be "wanted". Is it a medium that just merely shows how deep down we are needing something so bad.

Anger can cause violence. Anger can blind a normal person. Anger's needed. Anger's harmful.

Whatever it maybe anger's a feeling noone can resist. Anger always has a way to sweep in and take control.

My anger maybe cooling off a bit now.And I hope I'll not say anything stupid now that the phone's ringing. heh

I'd die to be born in the 70s

by door15 @ 2006-07-14 - 12:35:19 pm

Oh.. what can I say... I wish I was born in the 70s. I wish I was the part of the "hippy-flower power" generation. Oh..jeez..I'd love to be in the era when all and everyone moved to the ecstatic beats of HARD ROCK. When the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Flyod and The Who all rocked the world. I wish I was the part of the "Teenage Rebel" hysteria.
From cute blond girls in long skirts to the funky hair-styles to the wild dance steps to an Elvis number..I'd die to be with them all.
When everyone listened to The Beatles and everyone had a keen fashion sense. The 70s is all that I'd dream to be in.
Not just the rock scene but all of the stuffs related to the 70s. I know I may sound insane but I dont like my 2000s era. I dont like the bustling HIP-HOP scene, am always confused of today's fashion sense (pimpin' and all that shit) and I dont like the way people have become today.
70s to me always seems like a cool era. Long hair, big collared shirts and those cool jeans.
Dammit 70s ROCKED!!
No wonder why I liked "That 70s Show" so much.

The seventies was when many legendary rock bands and all my favorites started, or hit their peak, including The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, U2, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Eagles, KISS, Rush, The Who, The Allman Brothers Band, The Doors, and Van Halen.

What more can I say whether it was the GODFATHER craze or the Elvis-the pelvis-presley's moves or those darn cute blond girls in skirts. 70s has a way of burning euphoria within me which no damn era can bring.

"I'd die to be born in the 70s".

New Albums on RACK

by door15 @ 2006-07-13 - 12:19:25 pm

On my ever growing CD collection added three new albums today. All GREAT in their own respects.

1.On an Island - David Gilmour
The traditional moody soulful soothing blend of a smooth calming solos and with some traces of psychedelia. I haven't finished listening to it to give u all the deatiled review. But for all those who have had enough with today's shitty meaningless songs this album is a breath of fresh air. A definite BUY!

2.Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam
Has all the shades. from crunchy agressive numbers like "life wasted", "worldwide suicide" to masterful of a ballad like "come back" (the best song of the album,i.e.,on my first listen) to the acoustic soft number like "gone" and "parachutes". "One of the best Pearl Jam albums".
yep..that says it all. BUY IT.

3.Under the Iron sea - Keane
Okay to tell you the truth. I hadn't bought the first Keane album, just had listened to the ever catchy "somewhere only we know", so I didn't have a great deal of what to expect. The album's OKAY on first listen. Definitely something different. Anyways, am still to learn & understand the music of Keane. But still something different and enjoyable. Something of this album reminds me of a band that I like very much: COLDPLAY.

so..not much to say let me listen to all these albums again. And then I shall have a detailed review.

why haven't I been able to write?

by door15 @ 2006-07-13 - 11:03:36 am

well..I want to write.I want to see people's comment on it. And BLOGGing in some sense is fun. But recently, that is for the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to write a single thing. Nothing comes into my mind. And I might have opened this "write" window like a hundred times and yet again closed it without writing a thing.
Last post about England's loss was a "forced" post. I really didn't want to write a thing. Still am perplexed why I am not able to write anything... why my mind's so BLANK even though there has been so many things that's happening in my life of relative significance...
mystery it seems...I hope someday I'll be able to get over this block!

Deja Vu

by door15 @ 2006-07-10 - 11:07:01 am

Extraordinary!! I was left awestruck. I was spellbound and it was not the first time that thing like this had happened. It was as if I could literally know what would happen next and it did. Yes, it did happen...what I had seen in my dream and everything was exactly the same.
Deja Vu or the most extraordinary feeling. All that has happened till now; that is, all those deja vu's till now still leaves me clueless on how it happens.
Is it that humans do really can see the future in some other dimension or is it just a jumbled up nerve fibres inside the brain or some weird chemicals acting together to make it seem like a deja vu
the truth? well.. I guess noone really knows. But deep within me I suspect some serious sh*t behind all these deja vu thing... I mean when it happens you know..you damn know you have seen it before.

And I cried with England.

by door15 @ 2006-07-02 - 04:39:37 am

What a thriller...what a thriller. In all ways I found new respect for the team I loved the most - ENGLAND. The refree made a stupid decision...but still the England fellows fought even if they were one man down. They fought 10 against 11. and my my the 11 men from the Portugese side couldn't even break the unbeatable defending of a proud english team.
When Gerrad missed his Penalty shot...my heart sank. After that I knew it was over. Tears filled my eyes as I watched Ferdinand and then Terry pour their heart out in the field. They had worked so hard and played so hard. And yet it came to a disappointing end.
Dont mind me...but I have completely started hating Cristiano Ronaldo. I know he was the TORMENTOR of the English team and thats just the reason why I hate him.
And the refree..dammit I couldn've beaten him up when he sent Rooney out.

Still...am Proud.Am proud of the way they fought back.Am proud of Terry,Lennon(he was great),Ferdinand(The WALL),Neville,Beckham,Crouch ....
Just couldn't see the IDOLS cry on the field.
It was disappointing still... saw a little shade of happiness when France beat the overly flamboyant Brazil.Am happy for France..didn't like Brazil anyways...

So.. that brings to it.Yesterday was quite emotional to see England lose. But life moves on..and am sure they will take the revenge on the EUROS.
